Yes, there is a whole lot you can learn about personal finance by being self-taught. There's n shortage of books to read, social media accounts to follow or YouTube channels to subscribe to. 

The problem is- cobbling together a financial strategy from random financial coaches, advisors, or (even worse) unlicensed folks who aren't even financial professionals will likely cause you to spin your wheels and make the journey harder.
